WHAT ARE THE AGE DIVISIONS FOR THE EVENT?

NASSC has both youth and adult divisions starting at U8 (under 8 years of age) through Over 40, as as well as U.S. Open professional divisions. Age and eligibility criteria for each can be found in the Registration Guide.

WHAT ARE THE COMPETITION LEVELS WITHIN EACH AGE DIVISION?

NASSC offers several levels of competition in both amateur and professional beach soccer. You will find a description of each in the Registration Guide. 

Team Registration

WHEN CAN TEAMS REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT?

Team Registration opens the first week of January. Regular registration closes April 15th or when divisions fill, whichever comes first. Visit our Team Managers page for registration information.

STAY-TO-PLAY POLICY

Did you know you can book rooms for our event a year prior? EventConnect will add hotels and room blocks as the event nears. As a Stay-to-Play event, any participant using a hotel during our event, and as a condition of participation, must book their rooms through our partner, EventConnect. Visit our Hotels page for more information.

Team Managers: make sure your team members are aware of our policy to ensure your team’s participation is not jeopardized.

EventConnect welcomes team blocks as well as individual reservations. Reservations for many hotels can be made as far out as one year in advance.

I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL AFTER FILLING OUT AN ONLINE REGISTRATION.

Please check your junk mail and spam for the confirmation email. The registration confirmation is sent from the domain eventconnect.io. If, after checking the inbox/spam/junk/trash for any email addresses you own you still do not find a confirmation email, contact info@sandsoccer.com. Include the name, age group, and gender of the team you were attempting to register.

We do not recommend the use of mobile devices when completing team or player registrations.

HOW DO I KNOW WHETHER THERE IS STILL ROOM IN A DIVISION?

Divisions fill quickly, especially the closer we get to the deadline. We apologize but we are unable to give information over the phone or by email as to whether divisions are full.

Please complete a team registration online. All teams (U.S. Open excepted), are taken on a “first registered AND paid, first accepted” basis until a division is filled. If we are unable to accept the team, your team fee will be refunded or returned to you. Your team dashboard will reflect “Pending Approval” until the team can be accepted.

Registration deadlines apply. Late registrations will be placed on a waitlist and accepted if space is available.

Payments & Deadlines

ARE TEAMS ABLE TO SUBMIT REGISTRATION AFTER THE DEADLINE?
Yes, unless our website indicates “Registrations Are Closed”. Payment will be required at time of registration or, if waitlisted, upon acceptance. Waitlisted teams will be contacted IF ACCEPTED.

No information regarding whether or not a division is full will be given over the phone or by email.

I PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED A TEAM FOR THE EVENT AND WOULD NOW LIKE TO PAY BY CREDIT CARD.
Yes, the person registered as the primary Team Manager can make payments by credit card on behalf of the team via their EventConnect dashboard.
I HAVE MISPLACED MY REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION AND NEED IT TO SEND IN WITH PAYMENT.
Please send the payment along with a note including the EXACT team name and division of the team. Include this same information on the memo of the check. This information is found on your EventConnect dashboard.

WHAT DOES A TEAM MANAGER NEED TO DO TO PREPARE THE TEAM & ROSTER?

WHEN IS THE ROSTER LOCK DATE?

NOTE: ALL participants (players, managers, and coaches) must complete their individual registration materials online before the roster lock date. Registration questions are available on the EventConnect team dashboards.

OUR TEAM NEEDS MORE PLAYERS
Go to our Facebook page to access our Player Portal post, a self-serve network tool to connect teams with players. Be sure to mention age group, division and/or competition level in your post.
CAN WE EXCEED THE ROSTER LIMIT?
Roster sizes are firm. We do not make exceptions to the roster size for any age group, nor for roster requirements regarding coed teams.

OUR TEAM MANAGER OR CONTACT HAS CHANGED

The original Team Manager must first add a new Team Manager through the EventConnect dashboard and then may remove him/herself from the team. All teams must have a Team Manager.

If any team members’ contact information has changed be sure the team member updates it in their profile section as this information is used during the event to communicate in case of emergency or other urgent updates.

IS A COACH OR MANAGER ALLOWED TO ROSTER AS A PLAYER ON THE SAME TEAM?
Yes, of course! See the Resources on our Team Managers page for unique instructions applicable to adding participants who will fill multiple roles on a single team.
ARE PARTICIPANTS ALLOWED TO ROSTER ON MULTIPLE TEAMS

All participants (players, managers, and coaches) are allowed to roster on more than one team; however, NASSC is not able to make schedule considerations for players rostered on multiple teams. Coaches may submit a schedule request in writing before the request deadline date but NASSC can not guarantee schedules will be deconflicted.

In consideration of the “Over 25” rule applicable to youth teams, we strongly recommend every youth team have at least two coaches registered with the team.

“PENDING APPROVAL” STATUS OF TEAM OR PLAYER

“Pending Approval” can apply to a single team member, the entire team, or both. Players will be in a pending approval status until they complete their online registration materials. Allow 3-5 full business days after completing materials for the player’s status to be updated.

“Approved” status indicates materials have been submitted; however, NASSC may remove or change a players’ status if other concerns are noted e.g. questions regarding player eligibility.

If your team is in a “pending approval” status, one or more of the following applies:

  • The team does not appear to have a sufficient number of players.
  • One or more managers or coaches have not completed registration materials.
  • One or more players have not completed their registration materials.
  • A youth team does not have at least one manager or coach on the roster who is over the age of 25.
  • The team has not paid team fees.

If all of the above have been corrected prior to the roster lock date, the team’s status will be updated after the Team Manager submits the team check-in survey. Deadline apply. 

 

ROSTER VIOLATIONS

NASSC takes roster violations seriously. Teams who compete with an ineligible team member, use a player not on the OFFICIAL roster, or have any person on the player sideline who is not on the OFFICIAL roster will take a forfeit, may be considered for a point against their tournament standings, and may be disqualified from the event. Additional tournament sanctions may be applied. No refund will be given.

** The roster you build on EventConnect is a list of team members you have invited and is NOT the OFFICIAL roster. NASSC holds the official roster which includes ONLY those players, managers, and coaches who have completed all of their registration materials from their team dashboard prior to the manager submitting the check-in information or the roster lock date, whichever comes first.

Participants’ Registrations And Releases

WHO MUST COMPLETE REGISTRATION MATERIALS

All team members must complete registration materials to formally accept a position, including managers and coaches.

  • Registration materials are available as soon as they are added to the team.
  • No team managers or other person may complete materials on behalf of another except his/her own minor child.
  • Participants under the age of 18 require a parent or legal guardian to complete materials.
  • Individuals participating with multiple teams will need to complete registration with each team.
  • Some team members filling multiple roles on the team may need to complete multiple sets of registration materials. See Resources on the Team Managers page.

CAN I REGISTER AND BE PLACED ON A TEAM?

NASSC does not place individuals on teams. Team members are added by team manager invitation only. You may want to visit our Facebook page to check our Player Portal post, a self-service network tool to assist players in finding a team to join. 

I MADE AN ERROR WHEN COMPLETING MY/MY CHILD’S PLAYER REGISTRATION. HOW CAN I CORRECT THE INFO?
From the team dashboard, you are able to edit most of your own registration materials. If the change involves a name change or date of birth correction, contact gina.koehler@sandsoccer.com. Deadlines for changes may apply.
HOW DO I LOG IN TO MY EVENT CONNECT ACCOUNT?
Log in to your team dashboard at app.eventconnect.io/login.

EventConnect accounts are created by using an email address – each email address is a separate account.*  Always use the same email address in EventConnect when booking hotels, or joining additional teams.

If at any time a participant updates their profile with a new email address, the new email address will update all existing records under their profile.

* Only one adult and any of their minor children can be managed under a single email address. The following family scenarios require separate accounts:

 

  • Spouses who are both participating as coaches, managers, players, and/or parents.
  • Parents of participants 18 or older at the time of registration.
TROUBLESHOOTING TEAM MEMBER REGISTRATION

If you are receiving an error message check to make sure you have completed all required fields. Try the registration from a computer (mobile devices are not recommended). If the problem persists, contact support@eventconnect.io with the following:

  • What browser were you using when completing the participant registration survey (e.g. Google, IE, Safari, Firefox, etc cercare.)?:
  • Do you already have an EventConnect account from another event or prior year’s NASSC under the same email used in the invitation?
    • If so, were you logged in to EventConnect prior to attempting your registration survey for this team?
    • If you were logged in, did you access the registration survey for this team using the link sent to you or did you find the survey on your team dashboard?
  • Describe in detail any additional information regarding the problem you are running into when completing the participant survey/registration.

Hotel Accommodations & Stay-To-Play Policy

STAY-TO-PLAY
As a Stay-to-Play event, any participant using a hotel during our event, as a condition of participation, must book their rooms through our partner, EventConnect.

Room blocks are available as early as the year prior to the event. EventConnect will add hotels and room blocks as the event nears.

CAN HOTELS BE BOOKED BEFORE THE TEAM REGISTERS FOR THE EVENT?

Yes, and we recommend early bookings to receive the best availability and rates. Many hotels are blocked for our event as early as one year in advance. And, because NASSC is a stay to play event, you will be sure to stay in compliance with the policy by booking early.

Reserving hotels may be done before team registration opens. Using the same email for reservations as you use in EventConnect will help the reservation connect once a team is registered.
